Have you ever heard the term: ‘Use what’s in your hand’?

If not, it’s a concept that at its core is telling you to not focus so much on what you don’t have. To leave behind the idea that you can’t achieve your dreams or start a goal because you don’t have what somebody else has. Though, I know this concept is super hard in this social media age.

However, the easiest way to begin achieving this mindset is to BE POSITIVE ABOUT WHAT’S IN YOUR HAND. I know this concept is one of those things that’s easier said than done. A phrase we hear too often that subconsciously makes us roll our eyes. But because this concept is so cliché, that’s why It works.

I believe the easiest concepts are the least followed. It’s so easy that we feel there must be more to it. Why? Because life is hard and rarely simple.

However, though it’s an easy idea, I’m not going to sit here and lie to you. Once you start thinking positively your pain will not instantly be erased nor will your life immediately become easier.

But, once you master the concept of thinking positively, even in dark situations you will not fall into despair. It will take time but once you have mastered this concept, you have mastered a part of yourself. Now, remember it is okay to cry, to feel angry, or disappointed. We are only human.

While thinking positive, you don’t want to fall into delusion. For example, acknowledge your feelings: anger, sadness, bitterness. But, have a positive mindset to know joy comes in the morning.

No matter how bad your day is, always remember it must come to an end.

You should lay your head down each night ready to achieve your goals, even if it’s simply you whispering to yourself:

· Tomorrow I will be happy

· Tomorrow I will reach my goals

· Tomorrow I will try ‘this’ to make my business a success

Know that death and life are in the power of the tongue, basically, watch what you say.

If you speak sickness over yourself, then you are more likely to face many ailments, the same if you speak badly about your business, your looks, your relationships, and even the skills that God has given you. You have all the power and skills you need in your hand. And that power doesn’t come from courses, school, heck! Even the advice I’m giving you. I’m adding nothing to you. All my words are trying to do is bring out what’s already inside of you; Okay, then you might say, how do I know what’s in my hand? I’m not good at anything?

Do you know why you can’t find your predestined skills? It’s because it comes so easy and natural to you that you don’t see them as anything special. But it is! What comes naturally to you could be a great challenge to others.

I dare you to expand on that one thing that comes easy to you. Think positively about it and use it to expand upon your goals and the quality of your life. Also, if somebody has the same gifts as you, don’t compare or become discouraged. Look at the bread aisle. Random, I know, but I have a point. You have multiple brands selling the same thing. But at the same time, each one brings its own uniqueness, a type of je ne sais quoi to its product. You might feel like what’s in your hand is bread, but when you knead your dough, what you make has your blood, sweat, and tears in it (hopefully you’re not making real bread with blood😅). Essentially, you’re putting your own feelings and spin on something, using the skills you already have.

And once you start positively achieving your goals with said skills, you will then expand and acquire new skills that will elevate you. The same skills you thought you needed to start. So many times, we are trying to acquire what others have that are further along than us. But nobody starts at the top, even billionaires, even they must make a concept first. And yes, they have the money to do it quicker, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will be better.

In time you will acquire skills, resources, relationships, and anything else that will add to your overall goal. However, once you get there you should have a foundation that you previously created with your skills. Everything that you acquire is just adding value to what you already have.

You don’t want to just be acquiring knowledge, skills, relationships, money, and insight without a strong foundation to lay it on.

That is why using what’s in your hand first is so important. When you go to the next level, which you will, you want to go with your hands out and open, but not empty. You want to add value.

On the outside, we see what everybody else has, whether it’s riches, a good relationship, or a great job. But, when you get to the core of those people, I wonder what personal value they hold. You have a lot of successful people that are empty on the inside because they are using other people’s talents and not their own. That’s another reason why it’s important to use what’s in your hand. So once you get to where you’re trying to go in life, you can feel a sense of validation. And not validation from others, but yourself.

In conclusion, once you practice a positive mindset, I hope you find the courage to use what’s in your hand. Remember, what’s in your hand is what comes easiest to you. God intertwined those skills into your DNA and the world can’t take them away from you. Once you grow your foundation from the skills or traits in your hand, you will find yourself achieving so much more personally, financially, and mentally. If you only focus on what you don’t have, then you will never achieve your goals.
